LaSalle snubber replacement using E-BAR technology

Snubbers, whether they are located on safety-related piping of nonsafety-related piping, present a significant challenge to today`s nuclear stations as they look for ways to reduce Operations and Maintenance (O and M) budgets. Nonsafety-related snubbers have recently started to draw more attention as the Nuclear Regulatory Commission considers requirements for the testing of nonsafety-related snubbers. This paper addresses the replacement of nonsafety-related snubbers, utilizing E-BAR technology, on two systems at ComEd`s LaSalle County Nuclear Station.
