Systematic study of subbarrier fusion in rare earth nuclei

We discuss study of data on subbarrier fusion of rare earth nuclei with {sup 16}O. Under acting boson model to describe the couplings to nuclear structure, account for fusion excitation functions and barrier distributions systems for which measurements have recently been made. We portance of including the nuclear couplings to all orders, which results over our previous work in which the couplings were taken from our systematic study we have also calculated the subbarrier distributions for the systems {sup 16}O+ {sup 192}Os, {sup 194}Pt which exhibit the tion from oblate to prolate.
