Reaction cycles in the rp-process of as an impedance to flow into higher mass regions. Recent direct measurements of the (p,{alpha})/(p,{gamma}) reaction branchings {sup 31}P and {sup 35}Cl provided much i by an inability to directly measure low-lying resonance in {sup 32}S and {sup 36}Ar due to the small reaction yield. In order to determine the relative resonance strengths indirectly, the ratios {Gamma} {sub p}/{Gamma}, {Gamma} {sub {alpha}}/{Gamma}, and {Gamma} {gamma}/{Gamma} were measured for the states of interest. The {sup 31}P({sup 3}He,d){sup 32}S and {sup 35}Cl({sup 3}He,d){sup 36}Ar reactions were measured at a beam energy of 25 MeV at the Princeton Cyclotron Laboratory. Deuterons were detected in the QDDD spectrometer, while coincident particles were observed in Si detectors and the coincident {gamma}-rays were measured with a NaI detectors Astrophysical implications of the results will be discussed.
