The spontaneous fission of {sup 252}Cf was studied via {gamma}-{gamma} coincidences in a 20 Ge detector ball at HHIRF. Double and triple coincidences were recorded and analyzed. The triple gates unique spectra for two correlated fission partners. The relative yields the correlated fragment pairs have been extracted for Zr(Z = 40)/Ce(58) and Mo(42)/BA(56). For the first time, relative yields are observed for zero neutron up to 8 and tentatively 10 neutron emission. These neutron multiplicities are deduced directly from the experimental data. For the first time the charge asymmetry dependence of the mean number of prompt neutrons is deduced from experiment. For the 42/56 charge asymmetry, we obtain <{nu}> =3.91. While the most probable yield of a Zr isotope as a {sup 146}Ce partner is 2n higher than for {sup 146}Ge, the average < A > for the Zr isotopes increases only 0.5 for {sup 146}Ge compared to {sup 148}Ce.
