This article examines the seepage regime of the foundation of the Sayano-Shushenskoe hydroelectric power plant during the first few years of operation. This facility was constructed in the central part of the relatively monolithic Dzhoi-Kibik structural-tectonic block. The rock foundation of the facility is inhomogeneous in its seepage characterisitcs, and individual stretches in zones of tectonic crushing of the rock are the most permeable. The depth of opening of the rock-concrete contact does not exceed 27 meters. Each subsequent filling of the reservoir intensified the degreee of decompression of the foundation, involving the deep curtain in this process. Signs of cracking of the middle part of the grout were detected.
