An overview of 40 CFR Part 280--Technical Standards and Corrective Action Requirements for Owners and Operators of Underground Storage Tanks (UST) will be the focus of the presentation. Upgrading, replacing, and closing of UST systems containing regulated substances will be emphasized. Owners/operators of underground storage tanks have until December 22, 1998, to conform to EPA`s UST regulations. EPA has no plans to extend this deadline.
