A measurement of the form factors of pseudoscalar mesons at large Q{sup 2}

Using the CLEO-II detector at the CESR e{sup +}e{sup {minus}} storage ring at a center of mass energy of 10 GeV, the authors present a study of exclusive production of pseudoscalar mesons {pi}{sup 0}, {eta} and {eta}{prime} in {gamma}{gamma}{sup *} reactions in a single tagged mode. They detect tags with scattering angles {ge} 20 degrees. With a dataset comprising 3.4 fb{sup {minus}1}, the authors observe all major decay modes of pseudoscalar mesons. They report a measurement of the {pi}{sup 0}, {eta} and {eta}{prime} electromagnetic form factors in the Q{sup 2} region from 2 (GeV){sup 2} to 20 (GeV){sup 2}.
