An experiment on the {sup 197}Au + {sup 86}Kr system at E{sub Lab}/A=35 MeV was performed at the NSCL facility, using the Rochester Superball neutron calorimeter and the Washington University {mu}Ball charged-particle detector array. Heavy reaction fragments were measured over an angular range of 6-46{degrees} in coincidence with projectile-like fragments as well as neutrons and light- and intermediate-mass charged products in an almost 4{pi} coverage. Continuity of the observed correlations between the energy, time-of-flight and emission angle of the heavy residues is indicative of one common production mechanism over a wide range of masses, angles and energies including the intensely populated range of very slow moving residues. The observed correlations are discussed in terms of a binary dissipative reaction scenario.
