Search for the exclusive decays B{sup -} {yields} {rho}{degrees}({omega})l{sup -}{sup -}{sub v}

Using 2 x 10{sup 6} B{bar B} pairs collected at the {Upsilon}(4s) resonance with the CLEO II detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, the authors have performed a search for the b {yields} u decays B{sup {minus}} {yields} {rho}{sup 0}{ell}{sup {minus}}{bar {nu}} and B{sup {minus}} {yields} {omega}{ell}{bar {nu}}. These channels are sensitive to the magnitude of the Cabibo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element V{sub ub.} They present new limits on the branching fractions for these decay modes, as well as model-dependent limits on V{sub ub}/V{sub cb}.
