Recent results in the scalar meson sector from low-energy {bar p}p annihilations

The Crystal Barrel detector provides a powerful tool for studying exotic mesons like glueballs, hybrids and multi-quark states produced in {bar p}p annihilation. High statistics in pure neutral as well as mixed charged and neutral final states have been accumulated. The main results were obtained in the Dalitz-plot analysis of three pseudoscalar final states (3{pi}{sup 0}, {pi}{sup 0}{pi}{sup 0}{eta}, {pi}{sup 0}{eta}{eta}, {pi}{sup 0}{eta}{eta}{prime}). Three new states were discovered f{sub 0}(1370) and a{sub 0}(1450), which may replace the f{sub 0}(980) and a{sub 0}(980), and the f{sub 0}(1500), which is a candidate for a glueball. Results from the newest measurements and their implication on the scalar meson sector are presented.
