Influence of heat treatment and coating on magnetic loss of amorphous Fe{sub 80.5}B{sub 12}Si{sub 6.5}C{sub 1} alloys

The effect of heat treatment and coating on the magnetic loss of amorphous Fe{sub 80.5}B{sub 12}Si{sub 6.5}C{sub 1} is described. The results indicate that the magnetic loss is affected by the surface layers containing oxidation and reduction components.
