On global stability in nonlinear optimization

In this lecture we present a characterization of structural stability for nonlinear differentiable optimization problems. The constraint qualification of Mangasarian-Fromovitz as well as the stability concept for stationary solutions of Kojima will be of fundamental importance. Recent results on nonsmooth problems (of minimaz type) and semi-infinite optimization will be included.
