Technical Report ·

  1. Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Center, Palo Alto, CA (United States)

The authors discuss and summarize preliminary data collected from a survey sent to representatives in the electrical power generating and distribution industry. The goal of the survey is to produce basic statistics that drive technical requirement for a service to support utility companies in the event of major disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and wind storms. Hypothetically, a Post Storm Damage Assessment (PSDA) service would provide time critical reports to customers about potential damage to power distribution facilities (e.g., poles, wires, and transformers).
