This annual report contains the audited financial statements of the Ministry and a comparison of actual performance results to desired results set out in the Ministry`s business plan, including a message from the Minister. The Ministry`s audited financial statements include the accounts of the Dept. of Energy, the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board, the Alberta Oil Sands Technology and Research Authority, and the Alberta Petroleum Marketing Commission, for which the Minister is responsible. The report includes, either as a separate report or as part of financial statements, the reports or statements prepared pursuant to the Financial Administration Act. A summary of expenditures under each appropriation in the Ministry is included as required by the Government Accountability Act. Financial information related to write-offs is also included as supplementary information.
