Particles, Fields, and Gravitation. Proceedings
Abstract
These proceedings represent papers presented at the Conference on Particles, Fields, and Gravitation held in Lodz, Poland in April, 1998. The topics discussed included quantum deformations and noncommutative geometry, quantum mechanics, quantum and topological field theory, modern gravitation theory and geometrical methods in physics. Solvable and quasisolvable models were also disussed. The talks and the resulting papers provided a comprehensive coverage of the main aspects of contemporary theoretical and mathematical physics. The Conference was attended by more than 100 scientists from all over the world. There were 54 papers presented at the conference,out of which 1 paper has been abstracted for the Energy,Science and Technology database.(AIP)

The program of the school was set up in consultation with the International Advisory Committee. The topics covered this time included formal theory, model building, phenomenology of the standard model, and reviews of experimental results.

Proceedings of the Santa Fe meeting of the Division of Particles and Fields of the American Physical Society

These proceedings represent papers presented at the Sixth Mexican Workshop on Particles and Fields held in Mexico in November, 1997. The Workshop was organized by the Division of Particles and Fields of the Mexican Physical Society. The Workshop was held in Spanish but the Proceedings have been published in English. The topics discussed included heavy ion physics, physics at LEP storage rings, ultra high energy cosmic rays, precision measurement of the Sigma hyperon mass, cosmological phase transitions, string cosmology and topics concerning various interaction models. These proceedings include papers presented at the Workshops on Particles and Fields and Phenomenology of Fundamental Interactions held in the city of Puebla, M{acute e}xico. They were organized by the division of particles and fields of the Mexican Physical Society and the Latin American Network on Phenomenology of the Fundamental Interactions. The major topics include charm decays in fixed target experiments, top quark physics at the Tevatron, neutrinos and physics beyond the standard model, supersymmetric theories, anyons, superstring phenomenology, the Pierre Auger Project, ultrarelativistic heavy ions, and physics at HERA, Tevatron and LEP. These proceedings represent papers presented at the Seventh Mexican School of Particles and Fields symposium which was organized together with the First Latin American Symposium on High Energy Physics. The topics considered were divided into two parts: Experimental and Phenomenological High Energy Physics and Cosmology and Quantum Field Theory. There were tutorial courses, lectures and seminars on the two major topics listed above, and these have been summarized as papers in these proceedings. Altogether 55 papers are included in these proceedings and 8 of them have been abstracted for the Energy Science and Technology database.(AIP)
