Protocol for conducting environmental compliance audits of treatment, storage and disposal facilities under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act

This protocol, which is part of a set containing other area or statutory specific audit protocols, is a tool to assist one in conducting environmental audits, which should indicate whether the facility is in compliance with federal regulations. EPA has developed these audit protocols to assist and encourage businesses and organizations to perform environmental audits and disclose violations in accordance with EPA`s audit policy. The audit protocols are intended to promote consistency among regulated entities when conducting environmental audits and to ensure that audits are conducted in a thorough and comprehensive manner.
