We present a measurement of the branching fraction of 𝐡+ β†’πœ+⁒𝜈𝜏 decays using 387Β±6Γ—106 ϒ⁑(4⁒𝑆) collected between 2019 and 2022 with the Belle II detector at the SuperKEKB 𝑒+β’π‘’βˆ’ collider. We reconstruct the accompanying π΅βˆ’ meson using the hadronic tagging method, while 𝐡+ β†’πœ+⁒𝜈𝜏 candidates are identified in the recoil. We find evidence for 𝐡+ β†’πœ+⁒𝜈𝜏 decays at 3.0 standard deviations, including systematic uncertainties. The measured branching fraction is ℬ⁑(𝐡+ β†’πœ+⁒𝜈𝜏)=[1.24Β±0.41⁒(stat)Β±0.19⁒(syst)]Γ—10βˆ’4.
