Measurement of π΅+ βπ+β’ππ branching fraction with a hadronic tagging method at Belle II
We present a measurement of the branching fraction of π΅+ βπ+β’ππ decays using 387Β±6Γ106 Οβ‘(4β’π) collected between 2019 and 2022 with the Belle II detector at the SuperKEKB π+β’πβ collider. We reconstruct the accompanying π΅β meson using the hadronic tagging method, while π΅+ βπ+β’ππ candidates are identified in the recoil. We find evidence for π΅+ βπ+β’ππ decays at 3.0 standard deviations, including systematic uncertainties. The measured branching fraction is β¬β‘(π΅+ βπ+β’ππ)=[1.24Β±0.41β’(stat)Β±0.19β’(syst)]Γ10β4.
