The Ministry is responsible for the management, protection, and enhancement of British Columbia`s environment, including the protection, conservation and management of provincial fish, wildlife, water, land and air resources; the management and allocation of Crown land; and the protection and management of provincial parks, recreation areas, and ecological reserves. This report summarizes Ministry activities during the year and includes an overview of Ministry management and regional structure, strategic directions guiding Ministry activities, and information how to access Ministry services. Sections of the report cover corporate affairs (Communications Branch, Corporate Policy Branch, Corporate Services Division), the Environmental and Lands Headquarters Division (including the Environment and Resource Management Dept.), the Environment and Lands Regions Division, and the Parks Division. A financial overview and a list of legislation administered are included.
