This decision document presents the selected remedial action for Operable Unit 2 at the American Creosote Works, Inc. (ACW) site in Pensacola, Florida. The remedy selected by EPA for the American Creosote Works site will be conducted in two operable units. Operable Unit 1 addresses contaminated soils and sludges which represent the source of contamination at the site. Operable Unit 2, presented in this ROD, will address groundwater contamination at the site. The selected remedy for Operable Unit 2 consists of two phases. The first phase, involving recovery and disposal of dense non-aqueous phase liquids (DNAPLs).
