This paper reviews the occurance of solar flare events (sfe) at Ebre. These are one manifestation of sudden ionospheric disturbances, which have been observed in two forms, regular and reversed. The regular sfe have phase difference of 90{degrees} or less relative to the average diurnal magnetic variation of the day. The reversed events have larger phase shifts. The authors attempt to systematize the observations, and present a model to account for their observations.
