Pollution insurance for clean-up of contamination caused by uncontrolled discharge of pesticides or fertilizer into the environment can now be secured from domestic insurers. The return of US carriers to this industry is partially due to improved facilities and more actuarial knowledge of agrichemical retail operations. Understanding coverage, deductibles, exclusions and proper policy holder response, in the event of an accidental spill, is important to good dealership management.
