To address the increased demand in the above ground tank inspection marketplace, a remotely operated magnetic-wheeled crawler was developed to accurately and safely acquire ultrasonic thickness data. The system incorporates a magnetically attached delivery device, portable digital flaw detector and PC-based data acquisition software to gather and analyze information. In addition, custom software performs instant American Petroleum Institute`s (API) Standard 653 calculations with on-site reporting.
