Phase diagram of CeCu{sub 2}(Si{sub 1{minus}{ital x}}Ge{sub {ital x}}){sub 2}

The magnetic phase diagram of the system CeCu{sub 2}(Si{sub 1{minus}{ital x}}Ge{sub {ital x}}){sub 2} with 0{le}{ital x}{le}1 is studied by electrical transport, magnetic susceptibility, and neutron scattering measurements. The transition from heavy-fermion superconductivity in CeCu{sub 2}Si{sub 2} to the local moment type of antiferromagnetism in CeCu{sub 2}Ge{sub 2} is explored. The system reveals a rich phase diagram with up to three distinct transitions below 5 K. The nature of the phases is not fully resolved yet. {copyright} {ital 1996 The American Physical Society.}
