Ozone variations related to volcanic activity and disappearance of SO{sub 2}

The authors report on ozone trends over the USSR for the general period 1973 to 1989. When corrections are made for the impact of eruptions of Fuego and El Chichon on stratospheric sulfur dioxide, they find no negative trend in the observed data.
