Squeeze-out of nuclear matter in Au+Au collisions

Emission of charged particles from a compressed reaction zone is studied for {sup 197}Au+{sup 197}Au collisions at {ital E}/{ital A}=100, 250, and 400 MeV. Using a modified coalescence invariant weighting, squeeze-out ratios are determined and compared to predictions of cascade and BUU transport-model calculations. {copyright} {ital 1996 The American Physical Society.}
