The complex Kohn method has been used to obtain photoionization cross sections of N{sub 2} leading to the three lowest states of the N{sub 2}{sup +} ion, (X{sup 2}{Sigma}{sub g}{sup +}, A{sup 2}{Pi}{sub u} {Beta}{sup 2}{Sigma}{sub u}{sup +}). The effect of channel coupling and target correlation on both total and differential photoionization cross sections will be discussed. In particular, the level of theory needed to produce reliable cross sections in the {sup 1}{Pi}{sub u} {yields} k{Pi}{sub g} channel and differential cross sections in the (2{sigma}{sub u}){sup -1} ionization channel will be presented.
