Exact second order Hartree-Fock static exchange distorted wave calculations for electron-hydrogen and electron-sodium scattering

The exact second order distorted wave theory of Madison et al. for electron scattering from hydrogen and sodium has been modified by using Hartree-Fock static exchange distorted waves in the second order amplitude. The effect of exchange distortion on differential cross sections, spin asymmetries, triplet/singlet ratios and coherence parameters will be discussed. Results will be reported for elastic scattering from ground states as well as for excitation of lowest states of hydrogen and sodium in the energy range of 10-200 eV.
