Measurements of the {ital K}{alpha} transition energies of heliumlike krypton

Measurements of the 1{ital s}2{ital p}{sup 1}{ital P}{sub 1}{r_arrow}1{ital s}{sup 21}{ital S}{sub 0}, 1{ital s}2{ital p}{sup 3}{ital P}{sub 2}{r_arrow}1{ital s}{sup 21}{ital S}{sub 0}, 1{ital s}2{ital p}{sup 3}{ital P}{sub 1}{r_arrow}1{ital s}{sup 21}{ital S}{sub 0}, and 1{ital s}2{ital s}{sup 3}{ital S}{sub 1}{r_arrow}1{ital s}{sup 21}{ital S}{sub 0} transitions in heliumlike krypton (Kr{sup 34+}) have been made on the Electron Beam Ion Trap (EBIT) facility at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. The measurements were performed using a high-resolution crystal spectrometer and an accuracy of about 30 ppm was achieved. Unlike earlier measurements, our results are in good agreement with recent theoretical predictions. {copyright} {ital 1996 The American Physical Society.}
