Absence of antiferromagnetic correlations in YNi{sub 2}B{sub 2}C

The normal-state magnetic and electronic properties of YNi{sub 2}B{sub 2}C single crystals have been investigated by detailed {sup 11}B NMR and magnetic-susceptibility measurements. The data are found to be consistent with band theory, with no evidence of Ni local magnetic moments or antiferromagnetic correlations. {copyright} {ital 1996 The American Physical Society.}
