We have calculated exchange corrections for nuclear muon capture by {sup 3}He leading to the {sup 3}H final state using the hard-pion model and realistic nuclear wave functions. These currents modify the vector and axial part of the weak nuclear current. In their absence the rate is 12{percent} smaller than found by experiment. Our final result for the rate is 1502{plus_minus}32 per second. For the analyzing powers we find {ital A}{sub {ital v}}=0.515{plus_minus}0.005, {ital A}{sub {ital t}}={minus}0.375{plus_minus}0.004, and {ital A}{sub {Delta}}={minus}0.110{plus_minus}0.006. These predictions use the PCAC value of {ital g}{sub {ital P}}. The variation of the observables with {ital g}{sub {ital P}} is also reported. {copyright} {ital 1996 The American Physical Society.}
