The local magnetic moments and hyperfine fields, the intersublattice exchange fields, the electric field gradients, and the crystal field parameters are calculated for the technologically important hard-magnetic compound Nd{sub 2}Fe{sub 14}B by the full-potential linear-muffin-tin-orbital method in local-spin-density approximation. The results are analyzed and compared with data from other theories and experiments. {copyright} {ital 1996 The American Physical Society.}
