The sorption capacity of solid extractants (solexts) based on crown esters and a granulated porous copolymer of styrene with divinylbenzene is studied in processes of extraction of trace amounts of metals (24 elements) from hydrochloric acid solutions of different concentrations (from 0.5 to 9 M HCl). Solexts based on di-tert-octyldicyclohexyl-18-crown-6 are found to possess the highest sorption capacity, extracting 95-99% of trace amounts of Fe, Au, Sb, and Ga from a 7-9 M solution of hydrochloric acid, and 98% of Au from a 3-4 M solution of hydrochloric acid.
