A microscopic model taking account of elastic interactions is used to discuss the phase diagram of unmixing binary alloys. From mean field approximation, it is shown that elastic interactions, as a perturbation of the usual first neighbor Ising Hamiltonian, displace the top of the incoherent miscibility gap. In some cases, the order of the transition is changed. Monte-Carlo simulations confirm the trends predicted by mean field methods. This model is also used to sketch the discussion of coherent equilibrium in the case of a simple microstructure. This method is applied to the Al-Zn system. The displacement of both incoherent and coherent transitions lines are given.
