Using the nodal element method and A-{phi} formulation, the AC loss of a high-Tc multifilamentary superconducting wire in external AC magnetic field is analyzed and compared with experimental results. This formulation is effective for convergence. Current distribution and magnetic field are consistent with the Bean model, and the numerical AC loss is in good agreement with the experiments.
