This was the theme of the 4th Annual International Conference organized by the Korolev Institute of International Relations (Great Britain) together with the Center for Foreign Investment and Privatization (Russia). The conference was held in London in March 1995. The Russian side of the conference consisted of directors of national government bodies (Goskomimushchestvo) [State Property Committee], Customs Committee, Ministry of Fuel and Energetics, Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Conservation of Natural Resources, Committee on Geology and Utilization of Minerals, directors of a number of regional government bodies, and directors of committees of the State Duma, staff of the President of the Russian Federation, government plants and facilities of Rosneft, the joint stock company Transneft, oil companies, and scientific organizations.
