Kaon out-of-plane flow in heavy-ion collisions

Out-of-plane kaon collective flow in heavy-ion collisions is studied in the relativistic transport model. In particular, we investigate the sensitivity of the kaoi azimuthal asymmetry to kaon properties in dense nuclear matter. Our calculation shows that the weakly repulsive kaon potential a predicted by the chiral perturbation theory leads to a good agreement with preliminary experimental data from the FOPI collaboration at GSI for kaon out-of-plane collective flow in Ni+Ni collision; at 1.93 GeV/nucleon.
