Multifragment decays of central collisions in {sup 36}Ar+{sup 197}Au at E/A = 35-35-110 MeV and{sup 84}Kr+{sup 197}Au at E/A = 35-70 MeV reactions are investigated. The spatial-temporal extent of the emitting system is probed using fragment-fragment velocity correlations. The dependence of the velocity correlation on the fragment energy is examined. The influence of rotation and radial expansion is investigated in the context of statistical models.
