Finite width effects in nonleptonic -meson decays

Many analyses of two-body nonleptonic decays of -mesons rely on flavor symmetry relations and fits of experimental data of decays rates to extract the universal transition amplitudes. Such fits assume that the final state mesons are well-defined asymptotic states of QCD. We develop a technique to take into account the finite width effects of the final state mesons and study their effects on the extracted values of transition amplitudes.
