The table lists the source of the sulfur (refinery gases, natural gas, acid gas, sour gas, oil sands, associated gas, or resid asphalt), the type of process used to recovery the sulfur, plant design capacity, and production. Processes include Claus, chlorination, Scot, Sulfinol, Sulfreen, modified Claus, bed absorption, MDEA-LoCat, Selectox, Parsons, SNEA, Comprimo, Uhde, Stretford, and Wellman-Lord.
