  1. Pantex Plant (PTX), Amarillo, TX (United States)
Pantex is always concerned with not only the safety of the over 4,600 employees that work at the plant, but also our friends and neighbors here in the Texas Panhandle. In 2022, Pantex took over several weather stations that were part of an Amarillo TV station’s network for several years. These stations were abandoned in place. Pantex reached out to several of these locations and after an agreement was reached with them, replaced the weather station and installed a lightning sensor that has a range of around 25 miles.
