Using data from pp@? collisions at s=1.96TeV recorded by the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron, we present three recent results on heavy flavor production: an observation of the excited resonance state @L_b^@?^0 in its fully reconstructed decay mode to @L_b^0@p^+@p^-, a study of quark fragmentation using kaons produced in association with prompt D_s^+/-/D^+/- mesons, and the measurement of angular distributions of muons from @?(1S,2S,3S) decays in both the Collins-Soper and the s-channel helicity frames.
