The attention of the international community towards the safe of the Eastern nuclear plants led to a great interest in the safe studies on the VVER reactors, aiming to their modernization an updating. Necessary tools for these analyses are the computer codes, created for the Western-designed PWR and modified the application to the VVER analysis. In order to assure the accuracy of the code predictions, a wide variety of transient scenarios and plant data are needed for the comparison with calculated results. Aiming to the enlargement of the data base for VVER-1000 reactors, several operational transients, performed in the Bulgarian reactor of Kozloduy, are analyzed and presented in this paper.
