Source size parameters measured via two-particle interferometry in experiment NA44 for 200 GeV/nucleon S+Pb collisions are compared to calculations using the RQMD event generator. Reasonable agreement is found in most cases. The event generator is then used to compare the ``true`` size of the particle-emitting source to the measured size parameters and to discuss the difficulties in defining the ``true`` source size. {copyright} {ital 1995} {ital American} {ital Institute} {ital of} {ital Physics}.
