Using the Phase I setup of the `FOPI` detector facility at SIS of GSI, central collisions of the reaction Au+Au were investigated at incident energies ranging from 100 to 800 AMeV. All charged particles emitted into the forward hemisphere of the center-of-mass system were identified. By means of global variables the data allow to select very central collisions, where the directed sidewards flow ({open_quotes}side splash{close_quotes}) is vanishing.
