Title: Results from 1.8 TeV hadron collisions at DZero

Journal Article · · Bulletin of the American Physical Society
OSTI ID:243783

DZero was installed as a new multipurpose experiment in the Fermilab proton-antiproton collider in the spring of 1992. After an initial test period of several months, data collection started in August, 1992. The DZero experimental goal is a precision study of high mass, large transverse momentum phenomena with particular emphasis on measurements of leptons, photons, jets, and missing transverse momentum. DZero features an inner central tracking system, a liquid argon calorimeter system, and an outer muon system with a magnetized toroid. Preliminary physics results will include a selection from inclusive jet production, direct photon production, the production and decay properties of the W and Z bosons, the search for the top quark, and searches for new phenomena.
