Study of the charge exchange quasifree scattering at E{sub p} = 186 MeV for light nuclei

The authors have obtained cross sections and peak centroids for the quasifree (QF) scattering via (p,n) reactions on {sup 6,7}Li, {sup 10,11}B, and {sup 12,13}C targets up to a momentum transfer q = 2.5 fm{sup {minus}1}. The location of the QF centroid in q (q,{omega}) representation will be compared with (p,n) results obtained at higher energies and with results obtained with other probes. By using a semi-phenomenological quasifree peak fitting procedure, differential cross sections for the QF peaks have been obtained. The angular distribution will be presented and compared with theoretical calculations. Polarization observables will also be presented.
