DC electrical conductivity of strontium substituted lanthanum manganite (La{sub 1{minus}x}Sr{sub x}MnO{sub 3}), prepared by autoignition route and having a wide range of x values (0 {<=} x {<=} 0.7), has been measured over a wide range of temperature (10--1,273K). Samples show a metal-semiconductor transition at low temperatures. The results have been explained using existing theories of electronic transport in oxides.
