ReQuest II: An investigation of consumer attitudes towards telecommunication and electric services

With the advance of far-reaching structural changes in the electric industry, it is crucial that electric utilities understand how their service compares with other providers who may someday compete against them in the retail marketplace. This report illustrates approaches taken by long distance and local telephone service providers to increase customer retention, improve consumption, and build customer loyalty through marketing value-added services aimed at specific residential market segments.
