A triple plate model was proposed for a laminated plate with delamination at two different interfaces. Mindlin plate finite element with large deflection was employed to analyze the delaminated plate and to calculate the stress and displacement fields. By using force equilibrium and displacement continuity, a force and displacement recovery technique was developed to calculate strain energy release rate in conjunction with a modified crack closure method. The model was verified by comparison with 3D axisymmetric finite element solution for an isotropic circular plate with double embedded delamination. The interactions between the shear and bending crack-induced delamination in a three point bending composite laminate as well as between two parallel delaminations in a circular plate were investigated.
