HFEF/S Software System Design Description: WBS 1.6.5, Mass-Tracking Computer System (Rev.2)
- Argonne National Laboratory (ANL), Argonne, IL (United States)
This Software System Design Description describes the functional requirements of the Mass Tracking (MTG) System, of the Balance Terminal Session Program (BTS) and of the Operator Control Station Daemon (OCSD). The purpose of the MTG System is to track the movement and location of materials inside the FCF Air and Argon Cells in near -real time and to assist FCF operations personnel in the areas of process control, SNM accountability, compliance with the facility operating limits in general, and compliance with criticality safety specifications in particular. The tracking will be by discrete entities such as containers, fuel elements and process equipment. Isotope and element masses will be associated with these discrete entities. The purpose of the OCSD is to monitor incoming requests from an Operator Control Station (OCS) related to In -Cell Mettler Balance and Vision System operations. The software also provides an interface to Mettler balances and Vision System software. The purpose··of the BTS is to provide an interface to any of the Mettler balances in the FCF. This interface will allow the operator to obtain weights or run any of the calibration functions that are supported by the balances. This program runs independently of the OCSs.
